Sermo's messaging feature allows you to have private one-on-one conversations with other members or the Sermo Team if you need any support. To access the messaging section, click the Messages icon on the top right next to your profile photo on desktop. On Mobile, the icon in the navigation at the bottom right of your screen.
You can view all of your current conversations on the left side of the screen. Click on a conversation to see all of the messages within it.
To send a new message:
- Click the pencil icon under the search bar.
- Enter the name of the person you want to send a message to or select them from the list of people who you've recently messaged.
- Draft your message in the text box labeled "Write a new message"
- When you are finished, click the arrow button to send it.
Pro tip: To stay up to date, make sure your notification preferences are turned on for direct messages. This way, you’ll always be notified instantly when someone reaches out to you. You can check this by going to your profile page and clicking on “Edit profile”. Then click on ‘Notifications’ (in the drop down under ‘Account overview’ on mobile) and scroll down to account activity. Then simply turn the toggle on so it’s purple.
