Who can join Sermo?
Sermo is open to the following licensed healthcare professionals worldwide:
- Physicians (MDs, DOs, Residents, Trainees, and international equivalents)
- Nurse Practitioners (NPs)
- Physician Assistants/Associates (PAs)
- Pharmacists (PharmDs or global equivalents)
- Nurses
- Other Licensed HCPs (e.g., dentists, veterinarians, psychologists, podiatrists, etc.)

Please note: Communities are currently only available for the specialties mentioned above. However, all other HCPs are welcome to join Sermo. While we don’t have a community for all HCPs (yet!), you can still participate in paid surveys. To join, simply visit our sign up page and follow the registration steps.
How to register:
To join our exclusive community, we request personal details during the sign-up process to verify your status as a licensed physician or healthcare professional (HCP). This includes submitting both personal and professional identification for confirmation.
Here’s how to get started:
1. Simply sign up here or visit sermo.com and select 'Sign up' in the top-right corner of the homepage.
2. Provide your basic information: Enter your name, profession, email address, phone number, and country of practice.
3. Verify your account: Confirm your email or phone number by entering the verification code sent to you.
4. Submit your professional credentials: Enter your NPI, GMC, or medical ID number relevant to your country.
4a. 'Other Health Care Professionals' require manual verification by providing a photo ID and either a Medical License or Hospital ID Badge.
5. Follow the remaining registration steps to complete the process. If you need help or wish to finish your registration later, simply click the 'Get verified manually' button. A Member Solutions Specialist will promptly assist you in completing your registration with ease.
For residents and trainees: You’ll need to submit proof of enrollment, such as a letter of acceptance, a badge photo, or a dated enrollment document.

At Sermo, we use Vouched, a secure AI-based tool, along with a dedicated review team, to verify all members. Here’s what to expect during verification:
- Submit your professional ID or healthcare license.
- You may be asked to take a selfie to match your identity.
- The system securely validates your details.
- If further verification is required, our Member Solutions team will guide you.
We ensure only verified healthcare professionals can access Sermo. No exceptions.
