Benefits of referring your peers 

Referring your colleagues to Sermo brings a range of benefits, including: 

• Expanding your network: Help grow the Sermo community with professionals in your field. A larger network means more opportunities to share insights, exchange knowledge, and collaborate on patient cases. 
• Building a stronger community: Each new member strengthens the collective voice of healthcare professionals, fostering valuable collaborations and discussions across specialties. 
• Earning rewards (select members only; see terms): For every successful referral, eligible members can earn rewards as a thank-you for helping the community grow. Your peers may also receive benefits, making it a mutually rewarding experience. 

How to refer 

Referring your peers to Sermo is a simple and flexible process. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1 – Locate the referral option 

From desktop 

Go to your home feed and click on the “Refer colleagues & earn” option in the profile card located at the top left of the screen. 

From mobile 

Tap on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the app, then select “Refer colleagues & earn.” 

Step 2 – Choose how to refer 

You can invite your colleagues using one of three convenient methods: 

1. Email invitations 
   • Enter your colleagues’ email addresses (you can add multiple addresses separated by commas). 
   • Choose the pre-written message for ease or write your own personalized invitation to make it more engaging. 
2. Referral link 
   • Copy your unique referral link and share it directly with your peers. You can send it via email, group chats, or on social platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook. 
3. QR code 
   • If you’re with a colleague in person, they can scan your unique QR code. This takes them directly to the sign-up page, ensuring proper credit for the referral. 

Step 3 – Encourage sign-up 

Make sure your invited colleagues follow the unique link or QR code to join Sermo. This ensures that the referral is properly tracked, so both of you can enjoy the rewards. 

Referral terms

All members can refer peers and help grow the Sermo community. However, only select members can earn rewards for their referrals. Please review the following details to understand eligibility and how the program works:

Eligible professions

• Physicians (any specialty)
• Nurse practitioners
• Physician assistants
• Pharmacists
• Nurses

While you are welcome to refer healthcare professionals from other fields (such as dentists, veterinarians, optometrists, and others), only the professions listed above qualify for monetary rewards.

United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Canada

Referral tracking and qualification

• Your referred colleague must join Sermo using your unique referral link, email invitation, or QR code to properly track the referral.
• Incentives are issued once your referred colleague completes the sign-up process and logs into Sermo for the first time.
• Referrer incentives may vary based on country and specialty.
