Currencies
Sermo Prepaid MasterCard is a single currency - USD. You can, of course, pay and make withdrawals in other currencies. See below for associated costs.
Fees & Charges
- An ATM fee of $2.50 is applied for each ATM cash withdrawal transaction.*
- Any purchase made outside of the US or not in USD currency is subject to a 5.75% fee per transaction.
- ATM withdrawals in a currency other than the currency of the card will be exchanged to the currency on the card at an exchange rate determined by MasterCard on the day transaction is processed, increased by 5.75%
Example: if you want to withdraw $50 USD in a different currency, you will pay the following fee: $2.50 USD + $2.88 USD (5.75% from $50 USD) = $5.38 USD.
*Some ATM operators and merchants may charge an additional fee or set their own withdrawal or purchase limits. We strongly advise you to confirm with them whether any additional fees or limits apply before making withdrawals or purchases. Also check if your selected ATM accepts MasterCard.
Limits
- The card should be used at least once a year.
- Maximum balance of Sermo MasterCard is $9,000.
- Maximum card turnover (12 months) is $30,000.
- Daily ATM withdrawal limit is $800.
- Daily POS (point of sale)* limit is $5,000.
*POS (point of sale) - POS purchase takes place when a customer pays for goods or service at a merchant by using their Debit Card or ATM card and enter their PIN.
